Nova series of Huawei is well known for mid ranger smart phones and it has the excellent pricing. Huawei launched two new Nova phones, which can have higher price and the upgraded hardware. We have Nova 3i with the mid range chipset and the pricing of the mid ranger is not given.
Design & Display
Nova 3i features the slim design with glass on front and back and it gives 3i the premium look and feel. The glass on the back makes phone slippery and fingerprint magnet. You have to clean the phone from back to watch glossy finish on its back. You will find power button and volume rocker and the SIM slot and there is secondary noise cancelling microphone and there is 3.5 mm headphone jack, microUSB port and loudspeaker.
You will also find the dual primary camera, an LED flash, fingerprint scanner and Huawei branding. The viewers will get the large, notched 6.3 inch IPS LCD panel with resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels and pixel density of 409.
Performance
Nova 3i uses the home baked HiSilicon Kirin 710 octa-core chipset of Huawei with 4 GB RAM and it is helpful to move between apps and you can multitask without getting each app refresh every time, when you open it. You have to deal with refreshing part if you have about 8-10 apps open and you try to use resource hungry application. You would expect 4 GB to more useful and there is 128 GB storage on board and you can also insert microSD card to increase the storage capacity.
Cameras
The Nova 3i has 4 cameras on board in which 2 cameras are on the front and 2 on the back. The back camera has the features of dual sensors and on of then has 16 MP lens and the other is 2 MP and it is used for depth of field. You can also find phase detection autofocus and single LED flash.
The smart phone has the AI mode on Nova 3i and it is able to detect the scene and shows that scenario you shoot a picture. All the photos with AI have high contrast and saturation with picture like painting the actual photo. There is portrait mode on the front of the camera and it features the 24 MP sensor with 2 MP, which is used for calculating depth of field. The pictures, which are taken from front facing camera are detailed and sharp and it cannot hold the low light conditions.
Battery
The smart phone is added with 3340 mAh battery, which is good for the smart phone having the large display. The battery performed well in real world usage and it lasts full day on mobile data at the time of taking the pictures, talking with others on calls, playing games and check the social media etc.
