Federal Board of Intermediate and secondary education

Federal Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education Islamabad is an important education board which organizes the SSC and HSSC annual and supply exams in Federal Capital Islamabad, cantonment areas in Pakistan, FATA and other special areas. Federal Board also has the responsibility to conduct matric and intermediate level exams for the Pakistani students living abroad. FBISE was established in 1975. It is located at H-8 Islamabad. All the schools and colleges in these areas are affiliated with Federal Board while every year thousands of regular and private students participate in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th class exams under FBISE. New admissions in the SSC part 1 & 2 classes in the schools administered by Federal Board start in April while the classes of HSSC part 1 & 2 begin in September. The admission process matric and intermediate classes start two or three months before start of the regular classes of new academic year and the process completes according to the regular schedule. Every year, FBISE issues model papers for the SSC and HSSC class students. The purpose of these model papers is to inform the students about the new paper pattern and syllabus of the board because FBISE updates its examination syllabus and paper pattern almost every year according to international standards. If the students want to know about the important questions which are expected to come in exams then they should also read past papers which they can get from market easily. FBISE issues the date sheets of annual exams of matric and intermediate classes about two months before the start of the exams. Written and practical papers of SSC part 1 & 2 are held in March and April Respectively while written and practical papers of FA/ FSC part 1 & 2 are conducted by the Federal Board during the months of May and June respectively. Date sheets of written and practical papers are issued separately. After date sheets, roll number slips are issued to the students about 1 month before the start of the exams. March and April are the months during which the matric class exams are held under Federal Board while intermediate level exams are held under FBISE in May and June. The results of both these classes are announced after two or three months of their annual exams. The results are uploaded at the official site of Federal Board immediately while these results are also posted to the addresses of the concerned students.
